RULE #1: To submit a request to tour just e-mail the link from the MLS to
Ashley Dietch firstname.lastname@example.org. Listing agents must
be present at the Haves and Needs session to present their property
RULE #2: Listing agents are responsible to have Sign in sheets and
Feedback Forms (only if the listing agent wants feedback ie: no
form, no feedback) _ at the house being held open. It is very helpful
if the listing agent will provide those items in multiples as needed to
the affiliate host at the Haves and Needs meeting.
RULE #3: If a house is vacant and the listing agent requests an affiliate
host it is the listing agent's responsibility to a)make sure the
driveway is plowed and walk shoveled b)make sure there is heat in
the house c)make sure there is a chair or other creature comfort to
show appreciation to the host for their time and commitment to
helping us sell our inventory.
RULE #4: We do not re-tour listings (unless of course we have a light
week and are driving by).
RULE #5: A preliminary tour is posted the weekend before scheduled tour.
It is the only notice listing agents will get regarding their property
being on tour. It is the listing agents responsibility to review the tour
list, verify property availability and make arrangements for hosting.
Amy Hayes with Parks Title will coordinate hosts but the listing
agent must contact her to verify they would like a host. This makes
it possible for the LA to tour the other properties. E-mail her at
RULE #6: There will not be a scheduled date of tours posted. We
may have in excess of 20 property requests for a particular area.
Because 9 - 10 is our absolute max for a 2 hour tour it is necessary
to split a particular area into two weeks. If this happens, it disrupts
any tour schedule, and agents who have promised a particular date
to their client end up with egg on their face; through no particular
fault of their own. In the interest of our profession looking it's very
best we will continue to move fluidly through the market area based
upon requests received. It appears we will work on approximately 4
- 6 week rotation.
RULE #7: Haves and needs session is to start at 9:00 am SHARP! The
objective is to give agents a time to introduce their inventory ie:
new listings, price reductions, buyer prospects and special events.
Affiliates are encouraged to introduce themselves and share any
particular insight their industry may have; this enhances our market
knowledge and in the long run our clients. This is a perfect
opportunity to speak to 30 - 50 area professionals. The Haves and
Needs session has a goal to be out of the room by 9:40 am. This
gives us time to spend getting to the houses on tour and spend our
most productive 2 hours of the week working in our business to
develop market and inventory knowledge.
RULE #8: WCR Home Tour is for the entire GRAR membership, hosted by
WCR. WCR members may put as many listings on tour throughout
the year FREE. GRAR members who do not belong to the WCR will
pay $20.00 to have a property on tour. This $20.00 fee will be due
and payable when the listing is posted. If the listing agent does not
show up for tour this fee is still payable. If the listing agent does not
pay the fee they will not be able to utilize this tool until all back fees
are paid. Write a check for $20.00 payable to WCR (for a tax
deductible business expense) and give to the tour director.
RULE #9: Affiliates who host properties must be a WCR member.
